　　Hailing from Haverhill, UK, 13th Chime formed in 1980 and managed to release three outstanding 7" records by 1983.
　　A demo recently surfaced as a CDR of unreleased songs. A CD release was pending on an indie label, but recent word is the 13th Chime CD will eventually come to light as a self release by the old band members.
　　13th Chime are, in my humble opinion, one of the great "lost" dark Post-Punk bands of the early 1980's. The subject matter leans towards coffins, burial and vampires, while not crossing the line into cheesy Gothic posings. The music is along the lines of some of the releases by Twisted Nerve, Gothic Girls, Actifed!...
