Five Thirty were a ‘new mod’ band who came out of North London in the early 90s bridging a gap between The Jam and The Stone Roses, and in many ways were Britpop before Britpop! Although they came to prominence alongside the Thames Valley bands such as Ride and Chapterhouse, they picked their own path with a combination of Beatles-y harmonies, infectious basslines, psychedelic guitars and liberal use of the wah-wah pedal.
